Go to the Beach With Khongsittha

Wrote on 9 November 2017

Training twice a day, six days a week, can take its toll on both mind and body.

We’ve seen people burn out after one week; sometimes even after just a few days, due to exhaustion, the considerable difference in heat, and the intensive routines that Thai fighters go through.

Muay Thai is arguably more mental than physical; the ability to push your body to its extremes requires immense fortitude and endurance.

Getting away from the gym to experience the city’s activities, and even the occasional trip to the beach to unwind, is a great way to keep the mind sharp and the body relaxed.

One or more Khongsittha employees handle every trip to the beach to ensure everyone is taken care of.

Beach Trip to Hua Hin or Pattaya

One thing is sure about Bangkok: it is one of those large, metropolitan cities that don’t sleep.

One of the trips we commonly host at the gym is a few-day option to take willing customers to either Pattaya or Hua Hin to soak up the ocean breeze and sun.

Pattaya is one of the closest coastal cities to Bangkok and a 90-minute drive from the gym.

On almost every occasion when a fighter competes at Max Muay Thai in Pattaya, we offer customers van delivery to a partner resort so they can watch the fights and stay in the city over the weekend. Pattaya is known for excellent seafood, a vibrant nightlife, and activities such as jet skiing, boat tours, fishing, and more.

Depending on the number of customers at any given time, the per-person cost of a trip to Pattaya can vary.

The shuttle to Pattaya departs from Ekkamai Bus Terminal 2 every hour, and the fare is 120 THB per person.

Accommodation varies, but Max Muay Thai offers basic housing for about 500 THB per night.

Food and drinks are priced the same as in Bangkok.

We advise our customers to expect to spend between THB 2,500 and THB 3,000 for a weekend in Pattaya.

Hua Hin is another coastal city, located about three hours from Bangkok. Hua Hin beach is known throughout the world as being an incredible place to kitesurf, and some of Thailand’s most beautiful resorts are located in this town.

Our partner resort, Baan Sea Talay, is the ideal destination for relaxing after a demanding week of training, with other guests.

With a BBQ set up 25 meters from the beach and options to shadowbox in the shallow ocean waves, the trip is an inexpensive way for Bangkok Muay Thai practitioners to recharge.

For about 3,500 THB per person, Khongsittha customers can enjoy an all-inclusive stay at a beautiful beachside house.

Barbecuing at the house or at the beach is an option, and breakfast is included the following morning before heading back to Bangkok.

We’re planning more coastal city trips in 2017. If you’re interested in training at Khongsittha while still enjoying Thailand’s beaches, reserve your next training package with us and receive 10% off with code KST2017.
